This is out family room. It’s where we all gather together to chill and hang out as a family in front of the television, along with Harvey, our mini-labradoodle.
What I love about it is that there’s no formality in the room at all. You can’t sit up straight on the sofa, you have to lounge.
My husband, Rob, and I built our house in North Hampstead from scratch five years ago. I love Georgian Houses, so they were an inspiration. Although it looks traditional from the outside, inside people are often surprised by how quirky it is. I’ve been told that it’s “eclectic” and “whimsical”. The cactus is a talking point.
I wanted our home to be inviting and relaxed. It’s how we like to live.Full Article
